NOTE - It is impossible to precisely convert temperatures for various reasons including
• Readings of a fixed temperature can vary, depending what type of device is used
• Most temperature recorders are only accurate to about one degree
• The definition of some temperature scales is not precise. Using a fixed number of divisions between two known temperatures is not adequete when small changes are being measured.
• In normal circumstances, errors of under one degree may not be important but in certain fields e.g. Global Warming, it is vital to ensure that all readings are taken with devices synchronised thoughout the expected temprature range.
