Floods
Large parts of Weston-super-Mare are considered "at risk" from flooding. Generally the risk is classified as "Low" but small regions are designated "medium" or "high" risk. Although I cannot predict future flooding events, the following sketch map indicates approximate regions affected by previous events. (The numbers indicate the year in which flooding occured)

Town Boundary
The boundary line identifying the extent of Weston-super-Mare is not consistently defined and varies between publications. Regions including Sand Bay, Middle Hope and Woodspring Priory are often excluded but outlying towns (e.g. Huish abd Congresbury) are sometimes included.

This website normally uses the following features to define the Weston-super-Mare boundaries.
  • Northern limit = River Banwell
  • Eastern limit = M5 Motorway
  • Southern limit = River Axe
  • Western limit = Bristol Channel
