Your Questions

We are aware that the public have some misconceptions about Round Table. For this reason, I have listed some typical queries and will try to answer any questions sent to as honestly as possible.

Can I Join Round Table?
Round Table membership is open to any male aged 18-45. Women aged 18-45 are welcome to join our sister organisation called the Ladies Circle. You do not need a "formal invitation" or to be a "Business Executive", all that is required is a willingness to support your local community and the ability to fit in with like minded company. If you are interested, I can forward details of the nearest Round Table (or Ladies Circle) to your home town, you can then visit a few meetings, without any obligation. When you are ready, you will normally be invited to join.

What are the Secrets of Round Table?
Sorry to disappoint you but we have not got any! Round Table is completely open about all our activities and we are proud to talk about our organisation to anyone who is interested. It is normal for fellow Tablers to wear a small badge that incorporates our Round Table logo because we want everyone to know about our amazing club. Milford Haven Round Table would like to invite any prospective member to attend any of our meetings and see for themselves! All the dates are published on this site.

How Can I tell if a colleague belongs to Round Table?
Why not ask them? Alternatively, see if you can spot them wearing a small badge that incorporates the Round Table logo. Round Tablers are usually pleased to talk about this fantastic organisation.

All Event Profits go to Charity and you have your own social calender - Explain yourself!
When we organise public events, all the finances are conducted through dedicated charity bank accounts. These accounts are fully audited and every penny has to be accounted for. All the money raised from public events will go to local charitable causes. We have completely separate bank accounts used for Round Table expenses. These accounts are funded by a small subscription payable by Round Tablers. The money Round Tablers pay into their separate account is used for our social activities.

Who Decides How Money is Spent
All decisions are made by holding a vote. Every current member has an equal vote except the chairman whose vote can only be used to resolve a tie-breaker situation. All Tablers present get an opportunity to express their views before any vote is taken. Most votes are clear cut because it is generally easy to establish the merits and veracity of local charitable causes. Incidentally, Chairmen have to be reelected and it it normal for the post holder to change annually.

Is their a Round Table near where I live?
There are over 1,000 Round Tables in the UK/Eire, too many to list on this site.
