The National Round Table Organisation
Round Table is an an international organisation open to all men aged 18 to 45. (Females are invited to join our sister organisation called Ladies Circle.)
There is a Round Table club in most large towns and cities throughout Great Britain, each one concentrates on it's own local community but is supported by Regional and National teams.
Like minded men, gather together twice a month to have fun whilst benefitting the community by organising local events including Carnivals, Formal Dinners, Duck Races, Santa's Visits and Street Festivals. The common goal creates a strong friendhip between members and as a result, we also enjoy a variety of social activities organised for our own members. (The cost of our own events is covered by a small mothly subscription.) Typical social activities organised by Round Tables include trips to breweries, 10 pin bowling, visits to sporting matches, paint balling and video-racing.   Milford Haven Round Table
![]()
Milford Haven Round Table was founded in 1960, holding it's first charity event, a Garden Fete in the same year. In 1962, we organised the
town's first Carnival and raised enougn money to purchase a caravan in Broad Haven. This was an unusual purchase but it provided a welcome
holiday opportunity for our town's neediest families over the subsequent years.
Over the years, our membership has increased, this has enabled us to organise more events including the massive Big Weekend in Hamilton Terrace. Larger activities require more people and we are currently seeking prospective members who would enjoy the fun of supporting our community. Our currennt annual events list includes - Helping Pembrokeshire County Council with their Fish Week celebrations (late June), Organising the Milford Haven Carnival (1st Saturday in July), the Big Weekend (mid/late August), Charity Christmas Dinner (early December), Santa at the Christmas Lights (early December) and Santa's Sleigh Ride (mid December.) We also organise one-off evnts when an opportunity arises including anniversary balls and giant bicycle rides.   Our meetings take place on the first Monday and third Friday of most months (full list of meetings and dates in the Diaries section of this web site.) The monday meeting is usually a social gathering based around a dinner at a local restaurant. At the friday meeting, we meet in the upstairs room of the Starboard Hotel to discuss fundraising and adminitstrative issues before retiring for a pint.   Our members represent many aspects of professional life, including salesmen, refinery workers, bankers, job seekers, builders, br staff, administrators and coal men. We all have one thing in common, a desire to combine having fun with benefitting Milford Haven. This strong fellowship ths provides a great reward to being in the Round Table. |
