1km tarmac path - easy going. Unusual route alongside a lake and past houses whose main access is via this path.
 
Path Take pedestrian access from Tesco to main road opposite the Bridge Inn 899/062. At the bridge/road junction take the path leading to the right. Follow path which becomes a lane. (There is an additional exit onto St Lawrence Hill off to the left, about halfway along the path.)
 
There is an optional extension to this walk but the path can get a little muddy in places. After the main path turns into a lane, contine for about 150m until you pass the last house on your left. Just past this house is a gap in a low stone wall giving access to a mud path. Follow this path and you will exit on the lane from Hakin to Liddeston, about 200m past the turning for Silverstream Drive.
