3km level except for one short steep downhill stretch - all hard ground. Strictly speaking the coast path follows a tarmac cycle route through a cut which is a disused railway. Turning right at the brick hut at the end of the last section takes you along a very level but fairly uninteresting route directly to the marina. I prefer the alternative route along the scenic sea front area of Milford Haven called The Rath. This is the route described below. (You can usually park very close to any part of this route.)   The Path Turn left at the brick hut towards the white houses in Vickary Crescent. Turn left and continue a short distance until you reach a wide road. There will be grass open land and the Haven on your left. Turn left and follow the wide roadside footpath. Pass the bandstand, mine, watergardens etc. until you see a purple stone pinnacle in the junction where the road ends is reached. (This pinnacle is a present to the people of Milford from the Belgian fishermen who stayed here during World War I. Turn left at the pinnacle, descending the steep hill. At the bottom there is an opening giving access to the Marina complex. Walk towards the Marina. We could turn left at the edge of the marina, following the seaward road and taking a short cut that takes 2 km off our route. Unfortunately this is only possible when the lock gates (about 0.4km further on) are closed. The long route is always passable. At the Marina, follow the path on the inside (shore side) of the pontoons. Keeping the Marina on your left, follow the dockside path until you see Victoria Bridge and Tesco on your right.899/061
