There are two separate routes for this section. The easiest route is
described under the heading Low Tide. Unfortunately this route is impassible at high tide due to flooding. I have also indicated the harder, alterntative route that is passable at high tide.
(LOW TIDE) Comment This section floods at high tide. For this reason, I have also described an alternative high tide route. If you don't object to salt water encouraging corrosion on your vehicle, parking is possible in an area at the end of Cellar Hill. 914/059 Please note that the dirt track and parking area get flooded at high tide - make sure your vehicle is moved in time. 1km. Short slope, then easy level ground followed by short but steep hill.   Path Starting at Dudley Marine Boat Yard 915/062 travel down the rough track to Castle Pill. Make sure that the tide is well out or take the alternative high tide route. Walk round the dirt track with the pill on your right. Continue past the first road climbing up the hill. When you reach a gravel surfaced road and a fence blocks the way, turn right and climb the tarmac hill called Beach Hill. After about 150m take the a narrow path which climbs to the right. 912/057. This is where the high and low tide routes merge.   (HIGH TIDE) Comment This section can be hard to follow particularly in the late evening. Parking can be difficult at high tide. The walk is hilly (approx. 1km) and some sections are muddy after rain. The low tide route rates as easy, this section rates as moderate. nbsp Path Starting at Dudley Marine Boat Yard 915/062 travel down the rough track until you reach a Lime Kiln on your right. Just past the kiln the path branches off on the right. Follow the path until it reaches Cellar Hill (very quiet road). Go down the hill until the tarmac starts to break up. At the bottom (on your right) you will see a Celtic Cross - this marks the path entrance. Take the path climbing steeply up the bank. This path leads to Beach Hill. Walk down the hill a short distance and take the path climbing up on your right. 912/057. This is where the high and low tide routes merge.
