5km, hilly in places, some steps, going can be soft after rain. Walk incorporates dramatic changes in scenery and terrain. Approximately half of the route is on a bank well above the Haven with a short, steep section descending to the coastline before ascending again. The walk veers inland via a well made track, then joins a country path. Good views of Milford Haven.   The Path Start at the Ferry Inn Car Park at Hazel Beach 948/048. Take the lane that runs alongside the Ferry Inn (not the road to Waterston) and look for the path, signposted approximately 250m up the hill. When the path devides, turn left and follow the coast. The first section crosses two large gulleys on steel bridges, one of which offers an interesting view of the Petroplus Jetty and its pipework. Views of the Haven Waterway can be seen on the left as well as the shrub/tree camouflage of Petroplus on the right. After crossing the second bridge continue alongside the perimeter fence until the fence runs out. Continue along a very short loose stone path. (The path used to turn inland here but was diverted in 2003. The new section is one of the best bits of this route.) Climb over the style and turn left to follow the edge of the field along the coast, you will be rewarded with excellent views of the jetties that make up this commercial section of the Haven Waterway. Eventually another style grant access through a metal railing fence near the Navigation Marker boards. Turn directly inland alongside the metal railing and the Navigation Markers. When you reach the corner of this field climb over a style. The path continues as a "Mowed Grass" track which eventually crosses a wooded bridge. After the bridge it becomes a ver short rough stone path. Turn left onto the farm track at the end of this path. The next turn is very easy to miss. Watch the hedge on your left and you soon see a white faded notice board saying private. Immediately before the board, there was a left turn to continue on the coast path. (The turn is within 10m of the board but it is not always easy to see.) Take this narrow path. (You are now back on the original coast path.) Follow this until an 'acorn' sign indicates that a field has to be crossed. The path continues on the other side, look towards a destinctive clump of trees, the exit to the field is not visible from where you enter but is obvious when you reach the clump of trees. Follow the path at the exit to this field. After passing a farm, a vehicle track is reached. Turn right onto this track and you will arrive at the Milford to Waterston Road at Venn Farm. 923/059
