Milford Haven Conservation area

A conservation area is defined as "an area of special architectural and historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or enhance."
The Milford Haven conservation area encompasses the docks/marina facilies and the historic area around Hamilton Terrace.

Milford Haven Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)

A site of Special Scientific Interest is a specific preservation desgination to protect very important locations. In addition to teh marked SSSI region, the whole of the Haven waterway
is covered by a European Special Area of Conservation (SAC.) (A SAC is the highest conservation designation in Europe.)
