Our new Chairman Dan Adams announced at the AGM that he intended to repeat the famous - visit every Area 43 Table in under 24 hours - journey last undertaken by Past Chairman Ralph Rees in 2005. He will be contacting Tables over the next couple of weeks to organise 18 meetings at appropriate meeting places for each of the 18 Tables. The event will take place on 23rd/24th May and climax at the Ladies Circle Handover.
 
In order to achieve the 24 hour deadline most stops would only last about 20 minutes but the schedule would be adjusted to ensure it supported Tables with special events on those dates. No formalities or ceremonials were expected because this was planned as a bit of fun. The meetins would be just long enough to arrange the Chairmans attendance at future conventional meetings or events with your Table.
 
Throughout most of the run there would be a theme of -King Arthur and The Knights of the Round Table- who are on a -Quest to find Damsels in Distress-with the Chairman appropriately dressed. (He explained that this would help encourage the local press to take an inerest and obtain some free publicity for the Tables.) Arrangements have been made to ensure he is conventionally dressed when visiting Tables who have their own formal events in progress.
 
Dan explained that he wanted Tabling to be fun and he would do his best to accommodate any special requests photo opportunites or inductions. There was limited flexibility on teh timings of each visit due to the need to climax at the Ladies Circle Handover. This would allow the press to use corney phrases like - finding the fairest maidens in all the land.
