You have been choden for membership of ........ Round Table because you are believed to be a worthy representative of your vocation, posessed of qualities which can be of service to our Movement and your fellow men.
  Your acceptance of Membership implies that you will carry into your public and private life the Aims and Objects for which the Movement stands. Your membership will involve you in an obligation to make regular attendence at our meetings and to support in every possible way the activities of this Table,   In the name of ........ Round Table, I welcome you ........ most sincerely into the fellowship of our Movement and the presentation of this badge is a symbol of your connection with a world-wide Movement of thousands of like minded men.   Wear thi sbadge with pride at all times and remember as you wear it that you carry the good repute of Round Table in all your affairs, for the movement is jusdged by those who recognise you as a member.   Fellow members, please be upstanding ... I recommend to you ........ and ask you to drink a toast to him. I would remind you that the obligations he has today assumed towards you and his fellow men are obligations of which you should be equally minded.   Aims and Objects
1. To develop the acquaintance of young men brought together through the medium of their various occupations.
  2. To emphasise the fact that one's calling offers an excellent medium of service to the community.   3. To cutivate the highest ideals in business, professional and civic traditions.   4. To recognise the worthiness of all legitimate occupations and to dignify each his own, by precept and example.   5. To further the establishment of peace and goodwill in international relationships.   6. To further these objects by meetings, lectures, discussions and other activities. |
